Here's the way I learned from opening the box the first time: 20 min steady around 3400-4000 rpm using 16x8 prop cool 20 min another 20 min steady around 3400 rpm cool 20 min 20 min varying rpm with full speed blasts no more than 10 secs each time cool 20 min go fly Your low end rpm will improve slowly with time. Probably not reliable low end below 2800 until about 1.5 hrs engine time. Mine has about 4 hrs on it now and will get down to about 2300 before stalling and improving with almost each run. I adjusted the high end after 2 hrs slightly leaning about 1/8 turns. I have down that twice. Transition from low to high is great.
I am still running at 32:1 with Pennzoil air-cooled. I'm still using a 16x8 prop. I did use a 17x7 for a time but found it was too long for landing easily.
I'm very happy with my CRRC Pro GF26i v2 (I've got two and helped break-in a third for a friend). I also have two MT-35, a DLE-30 and a new DLE-20. All from Valley View so I KNOW they were good ones when I received them. Confucius says; 'When Airplane Stalleth; Airplane Falleth!'
' I have several of these engines. I have 2 of the beam mount style crrc-pro 26cc engines, 1 is a side carb I bought from a guy in st louise mo, and I have had ALOT of problems out of it. The seller claimed to have parts in stock for the engine, but each time I needed parts under warranty I had to wait for him to order parts from china, and than wiat for them to arrive.
Then WAIT for them to be shipped to me. I have a 26cc rear carb beam mount engine I got from Jim at Agape racing, and it has performed FLAWLESSLY!! I broke both engines in on Fully synthetic 2 cycle oil, ( I prefer to use the stihl fully sythetic ultra ) mixed at 32 to 1. I like to run my gas engines I sell and use myself on an engine break in stand. I run them about half throttle for about 10 minutes, then let it cool for about 20 minutes, I like to do this until I have run around 1/2 gallon of fuel through the engine. Then I mount the engine on my plane and go fly. I fly the plane at about half throttle, and run it up to full throttle for a around 10 second bursts.
I only fly the plane for around ten minutes then land and let the engine cool. I like to upgrade the ignitions, and use the Rcexl ignition and conversion Kit that Jim at AGAPE RACING sells. I am still running one engine on the original CRRC-Pro ignition and it is doing well.
I run and maintain several of these engines for the local guys at our flight feild, so if you have any questions and would like to, you can call me at the shop, I will be glad to help.
