Is anyone able to understand the instructions on this thread? Can anyone tell me once and for all if the *CAMILEO PRO HD* can be used as a webcam or not. If so, what do I need to do? The manual is of no use whatsoever, either the one in the box or the downloadable one, so please don't say look at that. Oh,and there are NO drivers on the CD, just software for HD-DV Decoder (maybe this is what you mean?), QT and Arcsoft Photoimpression and the ever useless User's Manual. Any downloadable piece of software / firmware, in fact any sort of 'ware' seems to make no difference at all and have no instructions either. Please, please can someone who actually has this camcorder tell me if the CAMILEO PRO HD can be used as a webcam, and how to do it.
Maybe Toshiba could actually respond to questions and emails or provide proper user instructions for this device. But I'm not holding my breath. Mettler electronics sonicator 706 manual arts.
If I can't get it to work then back to the shop it will go. A frustrated and annoyed Toshiba customer.
Hello Thanks for your reply. The thread for the HDPro is closed as apparently the answer had been supplied, which was that downloading various bits of software etc made it work, but I had my doubts that everyone was talking about the same model - I am aware there is a difference. Such varying information on the web makes it all very unclear and nowhere on the Toshiba site could I find anything that gave any information about the HDPro. Many websites list the HDPro as being Webcam compatible. Dabs, Misco, Amazon, Pixmania, to name but a few. I tried contacting Toshiba but got no response.
Just thought that someone here might know. So can I take it that the answer is a definite NO for webcam capability? Well I have the same problem.
I just bought the Camileo HD and am really happy about it, but it would be great if it could work as a webcam. I've been scavaging the web for firmware and/or bios updates and I come up with nothing.

I visited this ' but the only thing to download is a youtube uploader. Is there really any chance of getting this to work as a webcam?? If so, can someone give step by step instructions please? Regards, Meleager.
