Acpi Cpl0002 Driver Windows 7 Compal

Sep 9, 2009 - Smart Battery hardware can be identified by ACPI CPL0002 (Compal Embedded System) id. The latest driver is version 1.0.0.12. First, install. Notebook: RoverBook VH571 based on Compal C51. OS: Windows 7 x32. In device manager there is two devices which is not installed properly. 'PCI-modem' and 'Unknown device'. Based on Acpi code 'unknown device' is SD card reader. I can't find device which needs driver for acpi code *cpl0002 from WSS driver.

The Smart Battery installation only support Windows XP 32 bit, Windows Vista 32 and 64 bit only. At this writing, Windows 7 is not supported yet (I confirmed for 64 bit version is not supported). Do not use automatically search for driver, instead browse the driver at My Computer. Select C: ProgramData Vista64 for the driver location. Subtitutes C: with your SystemDrive and the Smart Battery can work under Windows 7.

If you’re using the 32 bit version of Windows 7, The Smart Battery driver is located at C: ProgramData Vista32. Update Aug 12, 2013: Tested working on Windows 8 x64.

Thanks for your quick reply! I am afraid your method does not work for me, that’s what I did: 1) Uninstall the device in the Device Manager.

2) Ran the setup file. It said it would uninstall the Smart Battery software, which was fine, so I continued and rebooted. 3) The Smart Battery icon in the Control Panel was gone but the unknown device had reappeared in the Device Manager. I uninstalled it once more. 4) Ran the setup file, installed Smart Battery and rebooted. Results: – The Smart Battery icon is back in the Control Panel. – The unknown device is back to the Device Manager.

– I still can’t find any “Vista64” folder. Have you got any further ideas so far? I want to re-install Windows anyway but I would be happy if I could eliminate all unknown devices from the beginning this time!
